She is survived by Husband, Melvin W. Phillips, Daughter, Tamara (Ernie) Boggs, Daughter, Paula (Jeff) Boland, Sister, Helen M. Maurice; Grandchildren, Andrew (Tammy) Thompson, Alek (Travis) Borcherding, Lacy Thompson, Logan Thompson, Damien (Sarah) Phillips, Brandon (Kaycie) Boland, Colte (Salena) Boland; Great-Grandchildren, Brooklynn, Cohen, Parker, Taegyn, Elizabeth, David, Derrick, Myra, Saige, Samantha, Braxton; Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by Mother, Ola Mae (Rector) Brown; Father, Justin James Brown; Three Sisters, Audrey J. (Charlie) Staab, Vernell (Richard “Dick”) Dickey, Norma L. (Dennis) Beauchamp; Two Brothers, Owen “Sonny” (Joyce) Brown, Norbert Brown; Brother-in-law, Carl V. Maurice.
Visitation was at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm and Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 9:00 am till 11:00 am.
Service was at Basler Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 11:00 am.
Burial was at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Caryl was a member of The Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Caryl enjoyed road trips while listening to Rod Stewart and Conway Twitty. She loved going to the casino, mother/daughter vacations, having family Bingo nights and most of all, being with her grand’s and her great-grand’s. She lived life to the fullest and loved her shopping. She even has started Christmas shopping. Caryl will always be remembered for her generosity, big heart, and her laughter.
