Vernetta “Nettie” Mae Miller

Vernetta “Nettie” Mae Miller, 97 years old, of Sainte Genevieve, MO, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at The Arbors at Parkwood Meadows in Sainte Genevieve, MO surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 11, 1926 in Ste. Genevieve, MO and was married to John “Jack” Miller on November 16, 1946.

She is survived by Son John (Dorothy) Miller of Arlington, TX; Daughter, Jane (Richard) Mueller of Chester, IL; Son-in-law, Rodney (Kim) Bahr of Saint Louis, MO; Grandchildren: John’s children, Diane (Roman) Duenez, Dr. John Miller, & Christine (Mike) Buchholz; Jane’s children, Kate (Anthony) Segretario & Dustin Mueller; Kathy’s children, Michael (Jen), Brian (Lauren), & Emily Bahr; Rodney’s son, Kyle Bahr; Great Grandchildren:  Sophie, Liz, & Allie Duenez; Tyler & Caroline Segretario; Max & Gavin Buchholz; Mia & Harper Bahr.

She was preceded in death by Father, Henry Rodenmeyer; Mother, Charlotte “Lottie” (Herzog) Rodenmeyer; Husband, John “Jack” Miller; Brother, Ralph R. Rodenmeyer; Daughter, Kathleen Bahr.

Visitation will be at Church of Ste. Genevieve in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9:00 am till 11:00 am.

Service will be at Church of Ste. Genevieve on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 am.

The Clergy will be Rev. Edward Nemeth.

Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve, MO.

Memorials can be made to Am. Cancer Society or for masses.

She was a member of Church of Ste. Genevieve, VFW Auxiliary, Ste. Genevieve Women’s Club, and Ste. Genevieve Hospital Auxiliary.  Nettie enjoyed working for the Rozier family for many years in the women’s clothing department.  She was passionate about her Catholic faith.  Nettie loved people, traveling, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.  She joins her loving parents, husband Jack, daughter Kathy, and brother Ralph in a joyous heavenly reunion.  Nettie lived life to its fullest and set an example for those she left behind.  She was the most loving, caring, and giving mother, grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her tremendously but treasure her memories forever.
