STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. — Ste. Genevieve held on to defeated North St. Francois County 58-51 as the two basketball squads opened up large-schools divisional action of the Mineral Area Activities Association conference Friday night.
Devin Flye scored 14 points and Zach Henderson added 13 more on the Peggy J. Johnson Memorial Gymnasium floor to keep the Bonne Terre-based Raiders at bay.

Meanwhile, North County (1-8, 0-1) was not very aggressive, going just 3 of 7 on free throws and lost their fourth straight contest.
