Captain Andrew “Bud” Operle, 88 years old, of Sainte Genevieve, MO, died Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born April 28, 1935 in Ste. Genevieve, MO.

He was preceded in death by Wife, Dorothy R. (Bahr) Operle; Son, Gene Operle; Sister, Jeanie Sampson; Father, Eugene Andrew Operle; Mother, Edna (Govreau) Operle; Grandson, Andrew “Andy” Operle.

Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 9:00 am till 12:00 pm.

Service will be at Basler Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 12:00 pm.

Private Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve, MO.

Memorials can be made to Annie’s Hope Bereavement Center for Kids or Charity of Choice.

Bud was an All River Captain on a riverboat for Ingram Barge Lines, a career he was extremely proud of. Bud was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
