From Staff Reports
At about 10 a.m., Friday, Ste. Genevieve officers were dispatched to an address in the 400 block of Market Street for a reported gunshot victim.
Officers arrived on scene and located three subjects suffering from gunshot wounds.
Two of the subjects, a 39
year old female and a 41 year old male, were being treated for their injuries in a St. Louis area hospital over the weekend.
One was found on a couch in the living room and the other on the living room floor. Both were “bleeding profusely,” according to the probable cause paperwork.
Officers found 33 year old Brian Wipfler of Ste. Genevieve lying on his back in the doorway between the kitchen and living room. There appeared to be a large pool of blood behind his head. He was conscious at the time. He told officers he had shot himself in the head.
The other two stated that Wipfler had shot them both and then shot himself. All three were taken to Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis.
A second fully-loaded handgun was found in Wipfler’s bedroom.
The two shooting victims said they had been living together about 10 years.
Wipfler has been charged with; two counts of Domestic Assault 1st degree, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.
No bond has been set.
