Edward L. “Larry” Wehmeyer, Jr. 80 years old, of Perryville, MO, died Friday, August 11, 2023 in Dania Beach, FL.

He was born December 16, 1942 in Ste. Genevieve, MO.

He is survived by Five Daughters, Kathy (DJ) Jordan of Hawley, TX, Sally (Joe) Boggs of Oran, MO, Wendy (AC) James of Sikeston, MO, Tammye Smith of Abilene, TX, Lora Wehmeyer of Dania, FL; Sister, Barbara (Dennis “Toupie”) Huck of Sainte Genevieve, MO; Brother, Robert (Mary) Wehmeyer of Sainte Genevieve, MO; Grandchildren, Stephen (CC) Ellison, Britney (Tye) Bolton, Little DJ Jordan; Wade (Tiffany) Boggs; Justin (Aunna) James, Taylor (Mallory) James; Cooper Smith and 14 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Mother, Clara Belle (LeGrand) Wehmeyer; Father, Edward Wehmeyer Sr.; Grandson Cody Boggs.

Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10:00 am till 12:00 p.m.

Service will be at Basler Funeral Home on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with full military honors.

The Clergy will be Rev. Duane Billington.

Larry attended the Cape County Cowboy Church. He was retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T after 40 years of employment and retired after 20 years at SMTS. Larry served in the US Army for 8 years, he was a Police Officer and Fireman at Festus, and was Deputy Sheriff for the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff Department.
