During the citizens’ participation portion of the May 11 St. Mary Board of Aldermen meeting, the subject of dogs running loose was again brought up.
Robin Dillinger, who lives on Mulberry Street, said there are dogs running around town. They also have been in her yard. She has been hearing brakes squealing and horns blowing out in front of her house and fears the dogs are going to cause an accident.
She said she called animal control, but he just took the dogs back over to the owner and left. Mayor Carlton Wyatt said they need to get this dog situation under control. There is an ordinance that states if a dog is outside then it has to be on a leash. Alderman Dr. Zenon Duda said he would get with Deputy Steve Barton, the county animal control officer, to work out a plan to stop this situation.
