James R. Donovan, 92 years old, of Sainte Genevieve, MO, died Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Riverview At The Park in Sainte Genevieve, MO.
He was born July 2, 1930 in Sainte Genevieve, MO and was married to Betty (Roth) Donovan on June 3, 1950.
He is survived by Daughter, Carol (Edwin) Bollinger of Sainte Genevieve, MO; Two Sons, Robert (Colleen) Donovan of Sainte Genevieve, MO, Richard (Sandra) Donovan of Sainte Genevieve, MO; Son-in-law, Felix Meyer of Sainte Genevieve, MO; Grandchildren, Eric, Dean, Roxanne, Casey, Renee, Brian, Kimberly, Justin and Sheila; 25 Great Grandchildren; Several Great Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Wife, Betty E. Donovan; Daughter, Janet M. Meyer; Father, James W. Donovan; Mother, Preshey N. (Arnette) Donovan; Brother, Joe Donovan.
Visitation was at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Sunday, May 7, 2023 and Monday, May 8, 2023.
Service was at Church of Ste. Genevieve on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:00 am.
The Clergy was Rev. Mitchell Baer.
Burial was at Valle Spring Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO.
Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Jim enjoyed plowing gardens for people, visiting with friends and working at the car wash for 28 years.
