William “Bill” Raymond Stange, Jr., 79 years old of Sainte Genevieve, MO, died Sunday, April 2, 2023 at his home in Sainte Genevieve, MO surrounded by his family.
He was born June 25, 1943 in Sainte Genevieve, MO and was married to Judy (Otto) Stange on January 8, 1966.
He is survived by Wife, Judy Stange of Sainte Geenvieve, MO; Son, Bill (Donna Wigfall) Stange III of Sikeston, MO; Daughter, Julie (Bruce) Terry of Bloomsdale, MO; Sister, Elaine (Belated Frank) Sherwood of Sainte Genevieve, MO; Grandchildren, Rebecca Woodard, and Luke, Maddie, and Wade Terry; Special niece, Christine (Steve) Williams and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Father, William R. Stange, Sr.; Mother, Vergie L. (Samples) Stange; Three Sisters, Dr. Betty L. (Belated Bob Hull) Stange, Lorraine L. Stange, Wanda “Jeannie” Jean Stange;
Visitation was at Basler Funeral Home in Sainte Genevieve, MO on Friday, April 7, 2023.
Service was at Basler Funeral Home on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 12:00 pm. The Clergy was Rev. Steve Mathews.
Burial was at Crestlawn Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO with military honors.
Memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Association and Serenity Hospice.
After high school, Bill proudly worked on the Railroad before serving two years in The United States Army. He went on to work at Chrysler Corp. for 31 years and was a member of The United Auto Workers. After retiring from Chrysler, he worked part time as a grounds keeper at the Bolduc House Museum properties. He enjoyed deer hunting, reading, watching westerns, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
