Apparent Spy Balloon Passes Over Tow

From Staff Reports

The controversial balloon crossing the United States late last week – believed to be a Chinese spy balloon – crossed over Ste. Genevieve about 5 p.m., last Friday.

The balloon’s eastward trek across the United States has turned into a political hot potato. US Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri in fact, called it “a gross violation of American sovereignty,” and called for an investigation of the Biden Administration’s handling of  the affair.

The balloon was finally shot down just off the coast of Myrtle Beach, S.C
