Allee Allumee

Bringing French Christmas traditions to life, French Colonial America has been putting on Allee Allumee on Friday nights, recently.

Visitors are taken by torch light on a pilgrimage to find the site of the Christ child in Bethlehem. On the way, they stop at several locations where other such pilgrims from colonial Ste. Genevieve are preparing gifts for the child. This includes a group of young musicians who serenade the infant in the manger.

After the tour, there are treats, games and time with Santa in the circa 1816 Linden House.

One final Allee Allumee will be held this Friday night. The event is free.
