At the new Music Art Love, you can “Be a part of the experience” with house instruments everyone can play, improv nights, lectures, art classes, indie films, music lessons, trivia nights, yoga, and dance classes.
Described as an eclectic gallery and boutique of vintage and modern clothing, ChrisAlex also sells indie artist CDs, chairs, vases, sconces, some books by local authors, rents out an event space for special occasions, and features upcycled art.
Nicknamed the “Eternal Butterfly” by owner, ChrisAlex, everyone is welcome in this intimate space for musicians and lovers of art to experience a creative outlet within the community.
ChrisAlex’s signature artwork is “GuitArt.” This idea came to her in a dream right before she entered a competition in Florida for upcycled art and won an award for her brilliant creation. But, ChrisAlex’s talent is not limited to her GuitArt. She is also a singer. Known as “a big contributor to the gallery,” Paul Hogenmiller is one-half of the singing duo with ChrisAlex.
During one of the many open mic nights, you can showcase your talent. For seven minutes, you can perform standup, acting, singing, poetry, and numerous other talents you possess. All ages and talent levels are welcome.
Meeting every third Tuesday of the month, Writer’s Group encourages people to explore different writing techniques. Here, lovers of words are given a prompt to write about, learn how to write a sonnet or another type of poetry, and various other writing-related topics. Writer’s Group is a free event that is open to the public.
Along with the countless other activities at Music Art Love, there is a Songwriter Showcase. At this event that happens numerous times throughout the year, songwriters can perform their originals. For just a $5 cover, you will also receive a complimentary beverage as you are immersed in new music.
“To honor God is to welcome everyone and show them love” which is exactly what Music Art Love intends to do with Spiritual Matters. At every Spiritual Matters, a new Christian presenter speaks. Afterwards, there is an open faith-based discussion. This free event happens multiple times throughout the year and is open to everyone.
