The official program for the 38th Annual Ste. Genevieve Holiday Christmas Festival has been printed.
The program includes the official schedule for the annual event – the only major local event to survive the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic virtually unscathed.
Things kick off at 10 a.m., Saturday Dec. 3 with a free Read Me A Story with the Friends of the Library.
The annual Christmas parade will then be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Edward Nemeth, pastor of the Church of Ste. Genevieve, will be parade grand marshal this year.
Renowned magician Bruce Dyvig will be back after making a big splash his first year at the festival last year.
So will virtually the entire stable of talented musicians, like Matt Palisch, Dr. Isaac Lausell, Gerry Huggins, Stormy Bennett, Morgan Heithaus, the Southeast Missouri State University Steel Drum Band and more.
Free photos and food with Santa will again be available in Lion’s Park.
The traditional tree-lighting ceremony will again be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, with Bill and Patti Naeger and the Chanteurs and the SGHS Madrigal Choir performing.
Historical lectures will also be given, as well as a craft demonstration and more.
More details will appear in upcoming editions.
