The MSHSAA Class 1 and 2 state championship track meet is still going on today despite rain delays.
Action for all events NOW is expected to begin at 1 p.m. and hopefully they can get in all of Day 2 events before an expected second wave of storms comes through the central Missouri region.
UPDATE: The Lady Warriors lead the Class 1 girls’ competition with 24 team points after the first day.
Senior Samantha Loida (1st, 800m, 10 points), senior Camryn Baler (3rd, 1600m, 6 pts.), freshman Madelyn Griffard (4th, 1600m, 5 pts.) and senior Ella Bertrand (6th, shot put, (3 pts.) each earned all-state medals on Day 1
The Warriors 4x800m relay team of Josh Fallert, Braden Coleman, Josef Flieg and Peter Roth finished 8th for 1 point and an all-state medal in the Class 2 boys’ competition on Day 1.
