First round of C2D3 softball today moved to Leon’s

The FIRST ROUND only of the MSHSAA Class 2 District 3 high school softball tournament set to begin today has been moved to Leon Jokerst Field here.

There are three first-round games to play out at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. However, the rest of the tournament next week will be played out at the scheduled site, the Trojan Recreational Complex in Potosi.

TODAY: No. 4-seeded Ste. Genevieve Dragons will face fifth-seeded Steelville Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. It will be the third time this season the two meet. The Dragons beat Steelville 10-0 in the two’s season opener and again 13-1 a few days ago. All three meetings have been here at Leon’s. This one however is the playoffs which of course is win or go home.
