The Great Race

More than 400 cyclists of varying skill levels took part in the first Ste. Genevieve Gravel Classic Saturday. They took 18-, 48-, and 68-mile courses. Most brought support teams with them. Ste. Genevieve native William Zoughaib, now living in Indianapolis, crossed the finish line as the 68-mile winner, finishing in just over 3 hours, 38 minutes. It is hoped that the gravel race will become an annual event. More results and photos will appear in the April 20 edition of the Herald.
