Ste. Gen Competes Well At Chilly Early Bird Invite
The Ste. Genevieve track team competed at the Early Bird Invitational Saturday despite a very windy and chilly day of competition.
The Dragons’ girls tracksters five members score points on the long event.
Etta Heller was the only one to claim first place, doing so in the shotput event.
Kale Clements took second place in the 400-meter run, while Abby Moore was third in the same event.
The 4x800m relay long-distance relay team of Kayden Huck, Sadie Greminger, Moore and Clements took third place.
The Dragons host their annual Old Settlement meet Friday at 4 p.m. at Dragons Stadium.
■ Notre Dame meet: The Ste. Genevieve girls’ track team took sixth place at the Frozen Invitational at Notre Dame High in Cape Girardeau on Saturday, March 19.
Kale Clements was the only first place winner, claiming the 400-meter dash with a time with a time of 1 minute and 3.54 seconds. Abby Moore took second in the same event with a time of 1:04.17.
