From staff reports

Students in Dr. Tracey Eatherton’s child development class served as host for the Toddler/Preschooler Day on Dec. 1.

Eatherton serves the Ste. Genevieve R-II School District as a family and consumer sciences teacher.

In the child development class, students learn about the factors that influence the growth of children, factors that impact parenting decisions and strategies for promoting development in youngsters from birth through six years of age.

SGHS students also learn about careers related to children.

During the day, students put some of the skills they learned to practice.

Toddler activity stations included popping bubble wrap, creating bracelets with noodles, playing with pots and pans, bowling with plastic bottles and more.
