Conversation & Coffee Event Set For Jan. 12

“How do you grow in 2022?”

That question is one that will be looked into at the first “Conversation and Coffee” get together, sponsored by the Ste. Genevieve Tourism Department.

It will be held upstairs, above Common Grounds Coffee house (the corner of South Third and Merchant), at 8 a.m., Jan. 12.

The meeting is to help understand basic marketing for small business, groups and organizations.

The discussion comes not long after another feather was placed in Ste. Genevieve’s collective cap.

Readers of USA Today recently took part in a poll, ranking the top 10 “culture scenes” in towns of less than 25,000 population in the United States.

Ste. Genevieve not only made the list, but placed No. 2, trailing only El Dorado, Ark.

In another visitor destination raking, the Missouri website onlyinyourstate.com ranked Ste. Genevieve second only to Arrow Rock.

It also ranked No. 47 by Oprah Daily, in its recent “60 Charming American Towns You Haven’t Heard of But Should Visit ASAP.”

The community has been honored by several other publications and organizations, as well.

The meeting should help business owners and other interested parties brainstorm with new tourism director Jeff Wix on how to best exploit this popularity.
