Large Crowds Attend Festival

From Staff Reports

Local veterans march in the annual Christmas Parade Saturday morning. The huge parade helped kick off the 37th Annual Ste. Genevieve Christmas Holiday Festival

Although some rain interfered on Sunday, perfect weather Saturday saw large crowds turn out for the 37th Annual Ste. Genevieve Christmas Holiday Festival.

The weekend included the annual Christmas Parade Saturday morning, with longtime Levee District No. 3 President Vern Bauman as Grand Marshal.

Lots of live music, magic, crafts, food and lectures were available to visitors, all free of charge.

This year only one venue required a face covering be worn, due to the health of one of the visiting musicians.

A review of the festival will appear in the Dec. 15 Herald.
