Emerald, known to his friends as EJ, was a wonderful man that was loved by all. His passion in life was farming and a love of animals, especially his cows. It was his love of the land that lead him to Levee District II where he served as president for 50 years. Dad never met a stranger, and a firm handshake meant the world.

Dad was deeply devoted to his faith and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In the past year Dad loved his extended family at The Arbors.

He will always be remembered for his warm sense of humor and his genuine smile. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
