Veterans Day Parade Set For Nov. 10

After a one-year hiatus, there will be a Veterans Day parade at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

The parade is sponsored by the Ste. Genevieve Rotarians, Citizens Electric Cooperative, Zell Jaycees, Ste. Genevieve County R-II School District and Valle Catholic Schools.

This will be a time to honor veterans, and thank them for their service to this country.

All veterans are invited to participate.

Additional information is available at both the American Legion and VFW halls.

There will be a luncheon at the American Legion Hall beginning at 11 a.m.

The parade will leave the American Legion lot at 12:30 p.m., going on Rozier Street, then South Fourth Street headed toward downtown.

Next, the parade-goers will turn on Market, turn left onto Min, turn left onto Merchant, turn right onto Fourth  passing Valle Catholic – then onto Lecompte, turn right onto Fifth, passing in front of Ste. Genevieve Elementary before heading into Peggy J. Johnson Gymnasium.

The parade is open the public and the sponsors encourage the public to come out and support the veterans.
