Drug Take-back Oct. 23
From Staff Reports
Drug take-back events allow people to safely and anonymously dispose of prescription drugs, such as opioids. With the opioid crisis impacting many Americans’ lives, it takes a comprehensive approach to address this epidemic.
To encourage individuals to remove unwanted or expired drugs from their household, pharmacies, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations coordinate events to dispose of the prescription and over-the-counter medications using the proper procedures.
The Community Services Forum is facilitating a drive-through drug take-back event on Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at two convenient locations: Bloomsdale Family Health Care Clinic parking lot in Bloomsdale, and Ste. Genevieve Fire Department in Ste. Genevieve.
Prescription and over-the-counter medications are accepted in pill or liquid form. Also acceptable are pet medicines, EpiPens, needles, and supplements and vitamins.
