EUREKA — The Ste. Genevieve High School girls’ golf team will compete in the Class 2, District 1 Tournament next Monday.
The event will take place at Crescent Farms Golf Club, a 27-hole public course. This facility was once known as The Players Club of St. Louis.
The main 18-hole course will play 5,350 yards from the blue tees, which is where the girls will tee off from.
Ursuline Academy High School will serve as the tournament host, and results will be found on the Missouri High School Activities Association website at the conclusion of play.
Ste. Genevieve finds itself in a loaded district with plenty of St. Louis-area, private-school competition — Incarnate Word Academy, Visitation Academy, Westminster Christian Academy, Notre Dame (St. Louis), St. Dominic and host Ursuline.
There also is a sprinkling of public schools, including Clayton, Pacific, St. Clair, St. James, Winfield and the Dragons.
“We are in a tough district, no questions about that,” Ste. Genevieve head coach Rachel McDaniel said.
