SG R-II Homecoming Proceeds This Week

Ste. Genevieve High School will celebrate Homecoming from today through Saturday, Oct. 9.

The 2021-22 Homecoming Court has been announced, with the queen candidates Elizabeth Basler, Isabel Basler, Haley Clanton, Haley DiMercurio, Paige Huck and Abigail. Moore.

Zack Boyer, Kaden Buatte, Carter Klump, Austin McBride, Thomas O’Brien and Klayton Squires are the candidates to become king.

Dru Koetting will be the junior attendant, with Aiden Trollinger serving as her escort.

Alissa Grass has been named the sophomore attendant, with her escort Nathan Johnson.

Olivia Klump was selected as the freshman attendant, and Charlie Corbett as the escort.

The theme for this year’s Homecoming is music genres, with the freshman set for jazz. Sophomores will go with 1980s rock. Juniors will flashback to the 1970s for disco. Seniors are kicking it country fried.

Monday was “Come As You Are Day,” with the girls’ golf and volleyball teams in action. Tuesday was “Twins and Groups Day,” with volleyball on the road.

The sprit rally will take place at 6:30 p.m. tonight, followed by the powder puff football game at 7:45 p.m. at Dragon Field.

Today will be class theme day, with each class dressing as their musical genre.

Thursday will be “Neon Day,” and volleyball is home for a Mineral Area Activities Association match against Potosi.

“Green and White Day” will be Friday, with the parade at 5 p.m., the vocal booster chili supper in the high school cafeteria from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and football will square off against Perryville. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Participating vehicles had until last Friday to register.

Vehicles will need to be in the parking lot at 4 p.m. Riders should be present by 4:30 p.m.
