Barbara Rae Wall
Barbara (Barb) Wall, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, MO, passed away on June 18, 2021, at her home in Englewood, Florida with her devoted husband, Randall “Scott” Wall, and sister, Marilyn Kertz, by her side. Barb bravely battled ALS for several years and is now free and at rest with her Heavenly Father.
She was born on July 7, 1948, to Raymond and Marie (Meadows) Heil of Ste. Genevieve and was the youngest of three girls. She and her older sisters, Donna and Marilyn, were very close throughout her life. The sisters shared many good times and memories through the years and supported each other during difficult times.
On November 13, 2004 Barb married Randall “Scott” Wall who was her best friend and life partner. Scott and Barb were blessed with over 17 years together and treasured each day. During their time together, they enjoyed traveling, vacationing, visiting car shows and making their winter home in Florida.
Barb loved her seven nieces and nephews dearly, and she was an important part of their lives. Many lovingly referred to her as “Aunt B” as she was a cherished aunt. She shared in their life’s milestones and adventures and was always available to lend an ear or encouragement.
She was a graduate of the Class of 1966 at Valle High School and was a beloved classmate and played the flute in the marching band. As modeled by her courageous battle with ALS, she is and will be forever a Warrior.
Barb made her home in Indianapolis, IN for over 45 years. She had a successful career as a paralegal at Bingham Summers Welsh & Spillman law firm from which she retired. She has many life-long friends in Indianapolis and the law firm.
Loved ones that have gone before Barb to welcome her to her new heavenly home include: her parents, Raymond & Marie (Meadows) Heil; Sister Donna Hill; brother-in-law Jim Kertz ; late husband Ronald Magers and his parents, Al and Dot Magers.
Loved ones that will miss Barb until they are reunited once again: husband Randall “Scott” Wall of Englewood, FL; sister Marilyn Kertz of Ste. Genevieve, MO; niece Jean Marie Cronk (Ken) of Indianapolis, IN; niece Diane Lutz of Jackson, MO; nephew Mark Hill; nephew Jeff Hill (Kathy) of Indianapolis, IN; niece Chrissy Monroe (Curtis) of Louisville, KY; nephew Tim Kertz (Elizabeth) of Webster Groves, MO; and niece Alison Fuhrhop of Ava, IL.
