Fury 16U Team Sweeps Opponents For Title

FESTUS — The Ste. Genevieve Fury 16-under softball team won all six games they played during the Sunset Showdown the weekend of June 12-13.

Three different girls earned wins inside the circle, with Abree Zipprich garnering three, Brynna Wehner two and Madeline Terry one.

Chloe Staffen and Bailey Deck both smacked home runs during a 14-5 victory over nearby rival Jeffco Express.

Two of the wins were over St. Louis-based programs, the Jaguars, 9-5, and Ice, 7-6.
