Popular Styx tribute band Grand Allusion has rocked audiences from nightclubs to concert venues.

The band will take the Orris Theatre stage at 8 p.m., Friday night, in the third week of the 2021 Ste. Genevieve Chamber of Commerce Summer Music Series.

According to its website, “Grand Allusion recreates the music of Styx with exceptional instrumental performances and vibrant harmonies. They remain true to the original recorded music while translating it into an exciting concert experience.”

The band has entertained audiences of over 6,000 people at shows in large arenas, and smaller audiences at intimate theatres.

Grand Allusion features Tim Lokey on lead and backup vocals; Carlos “Dave” Bedoya on guitar and backup vocals; Eugene Holdenried, guitar, lead and backup vocals; Jason Cunningham, bass and backup vocals; Keith Wagner, keyboard and backup vocals; and Dennis Stringfield, drums and lead and backup vocals.

The band they pay tribute to is one of the legends of rock and roll.

Formed in Chicago in 1972, Styx chalked up such hits as “Come Sail Away,” “Mr. Roboto,” “Too Much Tine on My Hands” and “Lady.”

Grand Allusion will perform these classics, as well as patriotic songs like “Suite Madame Blue,” and “Miss America.”
