Yet another annual event cancelled by the coronavirus COVID-19 in 2020, La Veille, will return this summer.

The French celebration will once again be put on at the Felix Valle House, part of the Felix Valle State Historic Site.

Unlike may years in the past, the dance troupe Dance Discovery will be unable to  perform. Therefore the entire event will be held during the daytime.

It will feature free tours of the first floor of the 1818 Felix Valle House, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also traditional craftsmen, like paper marbler John Bielik, in the backyard.

The backyard, with its beautiful garden,  will also be the site of former site director Jim Baker  telling French folk tales. Free refreshments will also be served at this free event.
