Barbara Ann Billington

Barbara Ann Billington, 85 years old, of rural Ste. Genevieve County died Sunday, April 11 at the Arbors in Ste. Geneveive, MO.

She was born Wednesday, September 25, 1935 in Kaskaskia, IL the daughter of Bernard Cassoutt and Ella Mae (Wilkerson) Cassoutt .

She was the beloved wife of Patrick Billington. They married on February 4, 1956 in Kaskaskia.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four children – Lisa (Bruce) Sundblad, Saint Mary, MO – Karen (Roy) Crain, Tucson, AZ – Dan (Beth) Billington, Chamois, MO – Shawn (Jeannie) Billington, East Prairie, MO – sisters, Marilyn (Joe) Shoeppel, Tell City, IN, Carolyn (Jules) Lorente, University Park, FL – Grandchildren Amy (Steve) Wolin, Clemson, SC – Wade Sundblad, Affton, MO – Dwanna (Ion) Sachelaru, Wurzburg, Germany, Jessica (Craig) Cumblidge, Tucson, AZ- Josh Billington, Columbia, MO – Casey (Mike) Goldschmidt, Rolla, MO – Greatgrandchildren – Julia, Halle, Bennett, Cooper, Lonnie, Dominic & Andrew.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister Lily Mae Donze.

Barbara was a cherished wife, mother and nurse. An accomplished outdoorswoman, she enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

There will be no visitation. In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, all ceremonies will be private.
