Warriors Suffer Pair Of Defeats

The Valle Catholic softball team suffered a pair of road losses last week, to powerhouse Potosi as well as West County.

West County downed Valle Catholic, 11-1, on Monday, March 29, while the Trojans defeated the Warriors, 13-3, on Wednesday, March 31.

Macy Wolk smacked a home run for Valle Catholic in the game versus West County, accounting for her team’s lone tally. Addisyn Heberlie also reached base during the fifth inning; she was hit by a pitch.

In the loss to Potosi, Belle Fallert doubled and second during the Warriors’ two-run third inning.

Kelsey Blum went 2-for-3. Ade Weiler was 1-for-2, also issued a hit batsman. Mia Weiler singled and scored in the fifth inning. Macy Shuh also singled for the Warriors in loss.

Wolk took the loss versus Potosi, with the Trojans proving to be selective by drawing nine walks.

What’s Ahead?

The Warriors (2-4) will be in the meat of their schedule this week, with a home game today versus Bismarck at Challenger Field. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.

Valle Catholic travels to Woodland tomorrow, and then finally the Old Settlement Tournament both Friday and Saturday.
