Valle Cross Country Runners Excel In Classroom

From STAFF REPORTS

Twelve members of the Valle Catholic High School cross team were recently named to the Missouri Track and Cross Country Coaches Association academic all-state team.

This is a yearly honor the MTCCCA hands out to runners across the state.

In order to qualify for the academic all-state team, students must be nominated by their head coach, have competed in a state series meet and meet additional academic criteria.

The criteria is a score of 25 or higher on the ACT, a score of 1,150 or higher on the SAT, or a cumulative grade-point average of 3.6 or higher at the end of the fall semester.

The student’s GPA is both non-rounded and non-weighted.

Samer Zoughaib, who was honored by the MTCCCA last December, serves as the Warriors coach.
