Richard W. Klein

Richard W. Klein of Ste. Genevieve died Monday, December 28, 2020 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. He was 86 years old.

He was born November 9, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri and was married to Margie (Stackle) Klein on October 3, 1959. She survies him in ste. Genevieve.

He is also survived three daughters, Denise Klein (Danny Norris) of Houston, Texas, Dawn Bach of Ste. Genevieve, Julie (Brad) Downs of Farmington, Missouri; two sons, Jeff (Valerie ) Klein of Perryville, Missouri, and Daniel Klein of Ste. Genevieve; as well as grandchildren Amy (Greg), Tom, Arya (Ashley), Taylor, Hannah, Maegan (Sheldon), Matt, Micah, Sean and Myah and great grandchildren – Keeley and Jaxson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Walter Klein; his mother, Mary Rosina (Sucher) Klein; two brothers, Herbert Richard Klei and Francis Klein; and two sisters, Marie R. Manion, Elizabeth “Betty” Jane Wipfler

Service was at Church of Ste. Genevieve on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 10 a.m. The Clergy was Rev. Henry Purcell. Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve at a later date

Memorials can be made to Valle Schools or Church of Ste. Genevieve.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus 1037, Ste. Genevieve Jaycee’s and Church of Ste. Genevieve. Richard enjoyed dancing, playing cards, pitching horseshoes, his dog Puddles and most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
