Virginia Shackles

Virginia Shackles of Ste. Genevieve died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 aAt Riverview at the Park in Ste. Genevieve. She was 99 years old.

She was born December 4, 1921 in Wichita, Kansas and was married to Frank Shackles on April 15, 1950. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by three daughters, Paula Dustman (Special Friend Paul Gettinger) of Ste. Genevieve, Rosemary (Dave) Valeska of Citrus Heights, California, Teresa (Clyde) Cruise of Marina, California; Son, Stephen Shackles of Pacific Grove, California; grandchildren: Matthew Balun, Shannon Balun, Victoria Martinez, Alex Goldberg; great-grandchildren, Macie Martinez, Justin Martinez, Sophia Balun, Sloan Balun,

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Wyotte Dellavan Turner; heer mother, Frances (Land) Turner; and son-in-law, Bruce Dustman.

Graveside service was at Valle Spring Cemetery on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2 p.m.

Virginia’s passion in life was painting. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
