Mid America Rehab physical therapist Clinton Rice attended a St. Vincent football parents’ meeting in early August.
One of the concerns the parents raised was access to water, and how that issue would be handled during the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
New St. Vincent head football coach Tim Schumer and Rice had a brainstorm, and a brilliant idea was born.
“We wanted to help out, and take an extra step so sports can hopefully happen,” Rice said.
Mid-America Rehab will be providing water bottles for student-athletes at four schools: St. Vincent, the parochial school in Perryville, Ste. Genevieve, Valle Catholic and Perryville.
“It’s wonderful to give back to the community,” said Dr. Enriqueta Hill, physical therapist with the Mid America Rehab clinic in Ste. Genevieve.
“It’s a way to promote health and safety in these uncertain times and help prevent the sharing of germs,” Hill further explained.
