Warriors, Dragons Ready For Season

Earlier this week, the Missouri State High School Activities Association released a statement indicating fall sports would go on as schedule.

That means it’s game on for high school volleyball.

And the season is rapidly approaching, with both Ste. Genevieve and Valle Catholic High School opening the slate on Sept. 1.

For Ste. Genevieve, the Dragons are becoming accustomed to a new head coach in Carla Basler.

“I think it went pretty well,” said Basler regarding summer volleyball. “The girls have been receptive to new things.”

Basler taught the girls a new defense, which they put into practice at the Licking Camp in Farmington and select scrimmage dates.
