Stone in Love, a Journey tribute band, will be the fourth of six Summer Concert Series highlighters this Friday night at the Orris.
The Ste. Genevieve Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert Series began July 10 [later than usual due to the pandemic] with Silver Bullet STL, a Bob Seger tribute band, followed by Eagle Nation, an Eagles tribute band, and Breakdown Shakedown, who performs a wide variety of music.
The final concert of the series, August 28, featuring Big Rain, has been canceled.
Big Love, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, will play August 7 and Chattahoochie, an Alan Jackson tribute group, will play the final concert on August 14.
On August 21, the annual chamber golf tournament will be held.
Stone in Love was formed on April 1, 2007. According to its Facebook page, it was playing to audiences of more than 7,000 within two years.
“It didn’t take long for Stone in Love to become one of the premier tribute acts in the mid-west,” the page said.
The band is credited with giving an excellent rendition of Journey’s stirring hits.
