Wyatt Tops Bader

Former St. Mary Mayor Carl Wyatt defeated incumbent Gloria Bader in a special city of St. Mary runoff election on June 30.

Wyatt received 58 votes to 45 for Bader.

On June 2, the pair finished in a tie, each garnering 34 votes, while a third candidate, former Alderman Paul Franklin, received nine votes.

This time 103 voters turned out, versus just 83 on June 2 — which was a postponement of the April 7 municipal election.
