Juvenile, Two Adults Injured When UTV Driven By 13-Year-Old Overturns

An accident in Ste. Genevieve County last week resulted in moderate injuries for a juvenile from Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and minor injuries for two others, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 6:54 p.m. on June 6 on Lakeview Road east of Ocelot Drive in Goose Creek.
A 2020 Pioneer Polaris was being driven eastbound by a 13-year-old female from Imperial when the driver failed to negotiate a turn to the left and traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected back onto the roadway, where the vehicle overturned onto its right side.
An 8-year-old male suffered moderate injuries and was taken to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital by Air Evac.
Two other occupants suffered minor injuries.
Aracelis Hutchings, 41, of Pleasant Hill, was transported to Mercy Hospital South by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.
Jennifer L. Bell, 44, of Imperial, also was transported to Mercy Hospital South by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.
The driver and all occupants were listed as wearing safety devices, according to the report.
— An accident in Cape Girardeau County on May 28 resulted in injuries for two Bloomsdale residents, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 5 p.m. on northbound Interstate 55 one mile south of Oak Ridge.
Gregory S. Bruckner, 60, of Bloomsdale was driving a 2006 Dodge Dakota. The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
Alcia L. Politte, 51, of Bloomsdale suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Randi R. Sturm, 25, of Bloomsdale suffered minor injuries and also was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
The driver and all occupants were listed as wearing seat belts, according to the report.
