Jour De Fete Canceled For 2020
Jour de Fete will not take place in 2020.
The Jour de Fete Committee, days after a town hall meeting [see story on Page 2A] to gauge the community’s feelings about having the event with the COVID-19 threat, opted to cancel the 2020 event and focus on 2021.

“We want to thank everyone that’s involved in Jour de Fete,” Jour de Fete Committee president Jami Inman said Sunday evening in announcing the cancellation.
Next year’s event will take place on Saturday, August 14, and Sunday, August 15.
This year’s event was going to be August 8 and August 9.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused a shutdown of many public events with large gatherings beginning in March. While some events are coming back, Jour de Fete arguably brings the most visitors to the city in a single weekend.

You can have an opinion, it is welcomed….but when you become sarcastic and in this case belligerent then it shows a certain degree of incivility and lack of Christian values. I can listen but not when you …throw stones.
Well, stay in your houses forever sheeple.
