LaVerne S. Gatzemeyer

LaVerne S. Gatzemeyer of Ste. Genevieve died on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Ste. Genevieve Care Center. She was 89 years old.
She was born September 17, 1930, in Gasconade, Missouri, a daughter of Alfred Sieg and Linda (Kuebler) Sieg.
She was married to Vernon Gatzemeyer on April 27, 1949, and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by four sons, Kevin Gatzemeyer and his wife Nancy of Valley Falls, Kansas; Keith Gatzemeyer and his wife Patricia of Topeka, Kansas, Brian Gatzemeyer and his wife Michele of Ste. Genevieve, Craig Gatzemeyer and his wife Marie of Waynesville, Missouri; one sister, Loretta Mize and her husband Paul of Portland, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Funeral services were Monday, May 25, at St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale. Rev. Michael Benz officiated. Burial was at St. Agnes Cemetery in Bloomsdale. Basler Funeral Home of Ste. Genevieve handled the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Agnes Parish or to Masses.
