Harvey L. Roth
Harvey L. Roth of Minnith died on Monday, May 18, 2020, at his home. He was 77 years old.
He was born April 8, 1943, in Ozora, a son of Arthur H. Roth Sr. and Alvera (Brown) Roth.
He is survived by three sons, Jeff Roth of St. Mary, David Roth and his wife Angela of Minnith, Denis Roth and his wife Jeneice of Festus; a special friend of 26 years, Dorothy (Coffman) Nelson of Minnith; two sisters, Janet Thompson and her husband Lendell of St. Mary, Melba LeClere of St. Mary; two brothers, Arthur “Junie” Roth and his wife Barbara of St. Mary, Ronnie Roth and his wife Gail of St. Mary; nine grandchildren, Jeff Roth Jr., Travis Roth, David Kertz, Brittany Lange, April Layton, Isaac Layton, Gerald Payne, Courtney Kleinschmidt, Candice Kleinschmidt; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Roth, Vada Roth, Gavin Kertz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie (Worley) Roth; one daughter, Connie Sue Lange; and one brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” LeClere.
He worked construction and farmed. He was known as an accomplished backhoe operator, but he could operate and work on just about any piece of heavy equipment. He was a charter member of the Little Saline Sportsman Club and the first president of the club. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 21, at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Rev. James Schaefer officiated. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ozora. Basler Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
