Weiler, Huber Receive Ste. Gen. Fury Scholarships
The Ste. Genevieve Fury Softball Association is continuing its commitment to girls athletics through its annual scholarship program.
This program was started to recognize outstanding young senior female athletes participating in sports from Valle Catholic High School and Ste. Genevieve High School. The girls are selected based on their athletic ability and commitment to sports throughout their high school years as well as their academic standing.

Mallory Weiler
The winners of the 2020 year scholarships are Mallory Weiler from Valle and Alyssa Huber from Ste. Genevieve.
Weiler, the daughter of Robyn and Ben Weiler, will be attending Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. She plans to major in chemical engineering.
Huber, the daughter of Angela and Mike Huber, will be attending Mineral Area College. She plans to major in elementary education. She has been accepted on the Mineral Area College softball team and hopes to coach softball after completing her four-year education.
Both students will receive $500 scholarships on behalf of the Ste. Genevieve Fury Association.
The Fury Softball Association is a 501(c) (3) organization, currently in its fourth year. The association was started to promote the fundamentals of the sport of softball, along with teaching good sportsmanship and life lessons through sport. The association currently consists of seven teams with 89 girls participating, ranging in age from 8-and-under to 18-and-under. Along with the scholarships the association provides, it will be helping out with the Ste. Genevieve Challenger Program and assisting other community-based athletic activities.
The Ste. Genevieve Fury Softball Association has received donations from sponsors over the past years to help build the program. Donated funds go toward ensuring the safety of the girls by providing the best equipment and tournament playing experiences.
