Public Service Commission OKs Increase In Spire’s ISRS

The Missouri Public Service Commission approved an agreement reached by Spire Missouri, Inc., the staff of the Missouri Public Service Commission and the Office of the Public Counsel which will change the infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS) for Spire West customers and Spire East customers [formerly Laclede Gas Company] of Spire Missouri, Inc.
The ISRS adjustments reflect infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company from August 1, 2019, through February 29, 2020. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in Spire Missouri.’s rates.
The ISRS for Spire East residential customers will increase by approximately $0.65 a month. The changes take effect on May 25. The ISRS first appeared on Spire East customer bills in June 2004.
Spire East provides natural gas service to approximately 654,400 customers in the city of St. Louis as well as the Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Butler, Iron, Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Crawford, St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve.
