How the city of Ste. Genevieve handles employee health insurance in the future is in the hands of a newly-formed committee.
Last Thursday, the Board of Aldermen agreed that a committee would look into various options for providing health insurance to employees and their families and report back to the full board sometime before June 30. That is the deadline for employees to sign up for various coverage options for the next year.
Aldermen Bob Donovan, Michael “Buck” Jokerst and Jeff Eydmann will join each department head and one employee of each department on the committee.
Ward 4 Alderman Joe Prince pushed for the formation of the committee.
