Valle, Ste. Gen. High Schools Announce Potential Dates For Graduation Ceremonies

Both Valle Catholic High School and Ste. Genevieve High School are looking at dates in June and July for graduation ceremonies, if the coronavirus threat has subsided to allow for public gatherings.
Valle Catholic High School has made tentative plans for a ceremony at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, in the Church of Ste. Genevieve. A backup date of Sunday, July 19, has been set with the same time,
The Ste. Genevieve R-II School District is looking at weekends for both prom and graduation ceremonies.
Last week, the district officially called off the May graduation ceremony and rescheduled for 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
Prom would take place the night before, 7 p.m. on Friday,  June 19, at a location to be determined.
If circumstances do not allow R-II to have its events in June, it has set alternative dates of Friday, July 24, for prom and Saturday, July 25, for graduation.
The district will adhere to health guidelines before conducting any events, including the presentation of diplomas that will take place this weekend for seniors enlisting in the military.
