SGHS Student Council Celebrates Kindness Week By Recognizing Others

The Ste. Genevieve High School Student Council recently planned activities to celebrate Kindness Week. The students focused on recognizing groups and individuals who deserve thanks for their dedication to others during recent months.
Some of their activities included:
— Giving a shout-out to faculty and staff during Ste. Genevieve R-II Employee Appreciation Week by writing notes of encouragement and thanks on the high school’s windows.
— Putting up a sign outside of the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital as a thank you to healthcare workers during this time. Student Council member Kylee Clayton and her grandfather, Alvin Brown, created the sign.
— Creating encouraging cards for local care home residents.
— Sponsoring a Food Service Appreciation Day to thank food service employees for their dedication to providing meals to children during school closure.
