Two Crashes In County On April 22 Result In Minor Injuries For Three Individuals

Two accidents were reported in Ste. Genevieve County on April 22, both resulting in minor injuries, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The first took place at 1 p.m. on Hooper Road, two-tenths of a mile west of Route DD.
Nancy C. Ostmeyer, 63, of Bloomsdale, was driving a 2016 Dodge Dart westbound on Hooper Road when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Ostmeyer was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by the Ste. Genevieve County Ambulance District.
She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The second accident involved two vehicles driven by juveniles, It took place around 5:20 p.m. on Route J west of Saline Valley Drive.
A 2003 Ford F250 being driven by a 16-year-old male from Bloomsdale and a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze being driven by a 15-year-old female from Ste. Genevieve both were traveling east on Route J. The Ford slowed for traffic ahead but the Chevrolet failed to slow and the front of the Chevrolet struck the rear of the Ford.
The driver of the Chevrolet suffered minor injuries and was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by private conveyance.
A passenger in the Chevrolet, a 16-year-old female from Ste. Genevieve, also suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by private conveyance.
All parties listed were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
