Other Events Announce Changes: Cycling Event, Project Pioneer Postponed Until 2021

Missouri Life magazine publisher Greg Wood said last week that the Bicycle Across Missouri event, which was scheduled to end this year in Ste. Genevieve, has been postponed until 2021.
The dates next year are June 13 to June 18, with the event again concluding in Ste. Genevieve.
The event had been scheduled to start on June 1 in Poplar Bluff and wind through several Southeast Missouri towns before ending on June 5 in Ste. Genevieve.
— Ste. Genevieve Project Pioneer is  canceling all activity for this year. Project Pioneer plans to honor the same families during Jour de Fete in 2021, so members of the French Michaud and Placit families and the German Oberle and Operle families are urged to continue gathering family information and photos. These still can be submitted to the committee now, if anyone prefers. Contact Barbara Basler-Petersen at 573-883-3134 for details.
— The Ste. Genevieve Milice historic re-enactors had originally scheduled their encampment for September 12 of this year. However, since Les Amis du Fort de Chartres has rescheduled the 50th annual Rendezvous to September 12 and September 13 due to the pandemic, the Ste. Genevieve Milice has rescheduled its encampment to Saturday, September 26.
