Blood Drive Scheduled For May 7 At American Legion Hall
With the coronavirus bringing a halt to public gatherings across the country, more than 5,300 blood drives all over the United States were canceled as the threat heightened in the middle of March.
More than 200 of those cancellations were events planned in Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas.
An emergency blood drive for the American Red Cross is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at the American Legion Hall on Fourth Street in Ste. Genevieve.
People may make arrangements to donate by calling 1-800-733-2767 or visiting RedCrossBlood.org and scheduling an appoinment. Donors may use RapidPass on the website to complete pre-donation reading and health history questions on the day of the appointment.
